Apple formerly launched its much-rumored iPhone trade-in program in its U.S. retail stores. The program includes all models of iPhones and requires that the seller buy a new iPhone with the standard extended wireless contract.

The announcement comes ahead of Apple's widely-expected plan to introduce new iPhone models on September 10.

Apple plans to offer about $120 to $200 for 16GB iPhone 4 and 4S models, and about $225 for a 16GB iPhone 5 in good condition, according to TechCrunch.
