It might not come as a huge shock given the color and features on the iPhone 5S, but new reports from China suggest Apple is working on a gold iPad mini, complete with a TouchID fingerprint sensor.
Chinese tech site DoNews has posted two purported pictures of the iPad mini and the images show the new champagne color exterior and the presence of the Touch ID sensor, which already features on the new iPhone 5S.
As some kind of unofficial confirmation, Apple tipster Sonny Dickson – who released accurate snaps of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C prior to launch -- has confirmed the tablet’s existence and published his own photos of unassembled iPad minis in the “space gray” color. He added that the next-gen iPad minis could also come in silver.
Apple is expected to launch the next iPad mini in October, although it remains to be seen if the model will really come with the aforementioned features or the much-rumored Retina Display.
