Apple's iPhone 6 said to sport a big-screen phablet design

by TabTimes Staff

October 29 2013

A new rumor about Apple's next iPhone claims it will feature a larger display than the current model and be designed so you can operate it with one hand.

Samsung pioneered the so-called 'phablet' design (smartphone/tablet hybrid) with its line of Galaxy Note devices. A new report says Apple plans to enter the market next September with the iPhone 6 featuring a 5-inch display, which would still be smaller than Samsung's models.

The Japanese magazine Mac Fan summarized a report by Macotakara that claims Apple's next-generation iPhone might include a 1,920-by-1,080-pixel 5-inch display packing in 440 pixels per inch.

According to the report, Apple plans to make both sides of the screen as "thin as possible" which would make it easier to operate with one hand.
