iPad Air gets a low repairability score from iFixit

Do it yourselfers won't find a lot to like about Apple's new iPad Air when it comes to repairability.

iFixit has published its official iPad Air teardown that looks at the device's internal components and how easy it is to take apart and fix.

The result?

The iPad Air garnered a measly repairability score of just 2 out of 10 including analysis by iFixit that noted if Apple's tablet is taken apart, there's a chance the device's glass could be damaged.

Last month iFixit gave Microsoft's new Surface 2 an even worse 1 out of 10 fixability rating, giving it the dubious claim to being the most difficult tablet to repair.
