It looks like the long-awaited debut the iPad Mini is finally within sight.
Today Apple sent out invitations to a media event that’s expected to include the debut of a smaller version of the iPad, the so-called iPad Mini, sporting a smaller 7.85-inch display than the company’s best-selling tablet.
While the iPad Mini is sure to be the center of attention, Apple is also expected to make some other key product announcements including a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
There’s also been speculation the company will show off a new version of its rarely-promoted Mac Mini, the low end portable Mac that sells without a monitor or keyboard, giving buyers the option to buy Apple’s or those made by other companies.
As All Things D reported, Apple is going back to the future for the venue, the California Theater in San Jose, which it also used in to launch the first video-capable iPod in 2005.
