Microsoft has confirmed that its Surface Pro tablet will launch in the U.S. and Canada on February 9, with accessories to land on the same day.
The Surface Pro will be available from Microsoft retail stores, microsoftstore.com, Staples and Best Buy in the U.S.
The 64GB version will cost $899, with the 128GB edition entering at $999. Both tablets will come with Microsoft’s own Surface stylus and optional extras will include the Touch ($129.99) and Type Covers, as well as the Wedge Touch Mouse Surface Edition ($69.95), all of which also become available on February 9.
While the Surface Pro is expected to be a better bet for Microsoft in its bid to topple the iPad in enterprise, Microsoft also took time today to announce that it is expanding the international presence of the Surface RT tablet.
The Windows RT tablet, which debuted in October to a lukewarm reception from reviewers, is to reach 13 additional European countries in the coming weeks.
