Acer’s Iconia W3, the first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet, can now be pre-ordered from Staples, Amazon and Office Depot, with prices starting from just $349.99.

Amazon and Staples are listing the 32GB tablet for $379.99, while Office Depot is advertising the model for $349.99. Amazon.com is also listing the 64GB version for $429.99.

However, while the prices are relatively similar, shipping dates do vary. Office Depot says the item will be sent out to pre-order buyers on June 16, while Staples is more vague, promising a release date between June 11 and June 19. Amazon is the slowest of the bunch as it hopes to ship the product in three to five weeks.

The Iconia W3 was finally announced at the Computex exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan last week and features an 8.1-inch 1280 x 800 resolution display,  a dual-core Intel Atom 1.5GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM and front and rear facing cameras (both 2MP).

The tablet also offers connections for micro USB, micro HDMI and microSD, and comes pre-installed with Office Home and Student 2013. Acer puts the tablet's battery life as being around eight hours.
