Microsoft has aired its latest anti-iPad ad, only this time it sees the Redmond giant focus on how Windows 8 tablets hold the advantage in school.
In the30-second clip, Microsoft pits the Lenovo Yoga against the iPad and highlights the former’s attached keyboard, ability to multi-task (with Microsoft’s Snap multi-window technology) and compatibility with Microsoft Office.
Although the ad centers on the features of the Yoga, it does also point out the iPad’s deficiencies by showing students struggling to use their keyboards, typing notes with just their fingers and even asking the Yoga owner to send through lecture notes – which is presumably a dig at the iPad’s iWork apps.
Those who have been following closely will know that this is by no means the first iPad bashing ad from Microsoft. In recent times, Microsoft has done ads which mock the iPad’s high price and lack of in-built productivity apps.
