Lenovo appears to be working on a new model, called the Yoga Tablet

The tablets just keep coming from Lenovo. One month after unveiling a collection of hybrid and standalone models at IFA in Berlin, the world’s largest PC maker looks set to add another rather unique slate to its portfolio.

Detailing the Yoga Tablet on Chinese micro blogging website Weibo recently, Lenovo’s head of China Chen Xudong claimed that the model will be the thinnest tablet on the market and said that it will feature Intel’s Bay Trail CPU and a battery that can last for up to eight hours when in video mode.

But in an intriguing twist, it appears that the tablet could also be fitted with a unique kickstand for improved portability.

Citing unidentified sources, Engadget reports that the tablet will have a unique “leg” that can “stand itself up”, as well as a mechanism to shift the tablet’s center of gravity.

The tablet is due to launch at some point in October, although Lenovo remains tight-lipped on the tablet’s price and global availability.
