Big tablets are currently a hot topic of conversation, but this might be taking things too far. Microsoft has just installed a 27 foot wide by 17 foot tall Surface 2 in Trafalgar Square, London in a bid to promote its latest Windows 8 tablets.

The semi-functional Surface tablet is roughly 383-inches in size and has been installed in London’s Trafalgar Square, next to the iconic Nelson’s Column.

Although primarily designed as a publicity stunt, the device is usable as it is connected to a real Surface 2. Indeed, passers-by can even stand on the keys from the mock-up Type Cover 2 to tweet on Twitter using the Windows 8 app.
