HP says it's going to be the first to include ForcePad technology from Synaptics in its high end notebooks.

ForcePad is a pressure-sensitive touchpad designed to mimic multi-gestures on smartphones and tablets.

The ForcePad will be a feature on the HP EliteBook Folio 1040G1 Windows notebook that HP discussed at its Discover conference today.

HP says it has an exclusive with Synaptics to be the first notebook maker to incorporate the company's ForcePad technology.

On its website, Synaptics says ForcePad allows for more intuitive and precise user interactions.

"...ForcePad technology is a game-changing innovation that alters the human-machine interface by delivering a new dimension of control—pressure."
