Mobile device management (MDM) and mobile app management (MAM) provider Fiberlink reveals that its customers will now be able to control all Windows 8 tablets, smartphones and PCs from a single console.

The MaaS360 by Fiberlink solution allows IT departments to manage all Windows 8 devices, apps and content alongside their iOS and Android deployments, and all from a single, cloud-based console.

As Fiberlink announced this news it also published a new poll of 700 enterprise IT professionals, which revealed that 40% of these folk plan to support Windows 8 on smartphones, tablets and laptops at some point going forward.

The study wasn't clear on how this compares with Apple's iOS, although another recent study from iYogi Insights discovered that a large number of SMBs are considering deploying Windows 8 tablets, with some of these planning to do so having already rolled out iPads.

In addition to this news, Fiberlink has even published a document detailing the good and bad features you’ll get from deploying Windows 8 devices in the workplace.
