Report: Some iPad owners would buy a Windows 8 tablet just to browse on IE10

by Doug Drinkwater

November 15 2012

A new study from the Mozaic Group indicates that most iPad users prefer browsing Internet Explorer 10 on a Windows 8 tablet, than using Safari on their own tablet.

The independent market research firm said that iPad users found everything on IE10 to be better over Safari, from ease of use and the user interface to the speed and the browser’s design.

And although the research group did only pool a small selection of testers (just 40 iPad users in Seattle were evaluated based on a one-hour demo with IE10), the study also stated that the excellence of IE10 would drive most users to trade their iPad for a Windows 8 tablet.

This would, however, be providing that cost and data transfer were not an issue, according to the Mozaic Group. You can download the full report by clicking here.
