Bigtincan, a company focused on “mobile content enablement” solutions, says it has secured $5 million in Series A funding led by Southern Cross Venture Partners.

The company says the funding will help address demand for its mobile platform - bigtincan hub - already used by hundreds of enterprise customers.

The hub is a unified set of productivity tools designed to let users securely engage with the content they need wherever it resides.

“This funding comes at a pivotal time for bigtincan as we look to expand our footprint across the market and continue our next phase of growth,” said David Keane, founder and CEO of bigtincan. Keane said the investment and resources of SCVP “will be invaluable as we look to rapidly scale our mobile content enablement platform to take advantage of the explosive growth in business mobility.”

Bigtincan is a Silver Sponsor of the Tablet Strategy conference coming to New York on May 6, 2014.
