Disney removes free-to-play restrictions from 'Where's My Water? 2'

Disney has responded to fan feedback and removed the game's energy system in its latest update.

The energy system previously allowed played to play Where's My Water? 2 for a set amount of time before being forced to take a break or pay real money to continue playing right away.

That's not a new idea; similar restrictions exist in games like Candy Crush and the recently released Angry Birds Go!. But that doesn't make it a good system.

"We took your feedback to heart and removed the energy system in this update," Disney wrote on the game's App Store page. "Yep that's right. Now play as often and as much as you like!"

Some players previously indulged in an in-app purchase for an extended energy meter, which allowed them to play for longer before being forced to take a break. Given that that purchase has now been rendered useless, those players will receive two other IAPs, called "Monster Bundles," for free.

The update also features two new locations with new levels, achievements and collectibles.
