iOS and Android games could soon have full Xbox Live support, according to one report.

Games with Xbox Live features have not proved to be quite the draw on Windows 8 and Windows Phone that Microsoft hoped they might be, but the company nevertheless wants to bring Xbox Live games to iOS and Android as well, claims The Verge.

Cross-platform games like Wordament already feature Xbox Live achievements, but Microsoft's system for profiles, friend lists, matchmaking and more could soon have a much larger presence on iOS and Android. The Verge got its info from unnamed sources, but points to a Microsoft job posting describing "a modern framework that is open-source, lightweight, extensible and scalable across various platforms including Windows Store, Windows Phone, iOS, and Android" as further evidence of Microsoft's plans.

Bringing Xbox Live to more platforms could involve making it easier for developers to add Xbox Live features to their games by relaxing restrictions and providing them better tools.
