7,000 iPads to be installed across four U.S. airports in 18 months
The free-to-use iPads will allow airline passengers to order food, surf the Internet and play games from waiting areas inside certain restaurants.
These fliers will also be able to track their flight's status, although users will not be able to download their own app or adjust the tablet's settings.
OTG Management, which doesn't seem to have revealed where these iPads will be installed, contracted app developer Control Group for a custom browser on the iPad that wipes all personal data when the user hits the home button, and also liaised with Tekserve, which helped with the install.
