The game's closed beta, which began in December on Windows 8.1, will arrive on Xbox One next month.
Announced at E3 2013 back in June, Project Spark is notable for its robust creation and sharing tools, which will allow creative players to craft a huge variety of environments, characters, mechanics, and scenarios to create games all their own. The only limits will be users' imaginations, copyright laws, and Microsoft's user terms.
The Xbox One beta was announced on the Project Spark Facebook page. Users who are in the Windows 8.1 beta automatically get access to Project Spark on Xbox One as well, and users who gave away their beta keys will be given new ones when the Xbox One beta launches.
Project Spark will eventually launch on Windows tablets, Windows PCs, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, and will allow sharing and collaboration among all four platforms. Head to joinprojectspark.com to sign up for a beta key yourself.
