The digital magazine service now offers access to 80 magazine titles from $9.99 a month (growing to $14.99 for additional access to weekly editions), while single copies sell for between $2.49 and $5.99.
The Windows 8 app lets users pin specific magazines to the start screen, while an upcoming update will boast support for Live Tiles, meaning that the magazine covers will automatically refresh on the release of a new issue.
Next Issue Media first launched for Android tablets back in April of last year before coming to Apple’s iPad with 39 digital magazines in July. That number quickly rose to 72 titles by September and to date the 80 titles include the likes of Elle, Esquire, Glamour, Sports Illustrated, The New Yorker and TIME.
Next Issue Media, which is now said to have a user base of 120,000 in just under a year, is planning apps for Android smartphones and the iPhone later in the year.
The Next Issue Windows 8 app is now available for free from the Windows Store.
