Offline for iOS brings an innovative publishing approach to Apple Newsstand

Co-founder Tom Smith likens Offline's content to what you might find in the New Yorker, or the early days of TED, where uncovering something interesting — on any topic — was the reward for viewing.

The innovative app comes from a team of developers and designers with an impressive pedigree including The New York Times, Audible, Instagram, BlackBerry and Apple itself.

Offline’s content is being initially sourced from writers and personalities with large online followings. Because the payment for articles is a percentage of revenue, there is incentive for those contributors to promote the app as much as possible.
