Only half of the most popular iOS apps can also be found on Windows 8

Infragistics senior product manager Nick Landry recently compiled a list of which popular iOS apps can be found on Android and Windows, and discovered that Android offered 95% of the 100 most popular iOS apps.

It was a different story for Microsoft though. The report detailed that Windows Store – the app portal for Windows 8 – only offered 54% of the top 100 iOS apps, although this marginally improved to 63% for Windows Phone.

The Windows 8 figure includes Metro style apps for Windows 8 and Windows RT but does not include Windows desktop apps.
