Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 chip is too new to have been deployed in any smartphones or tablets yet.

The eight-core Snapdragon 615 chip, announced at the Mobile World Congress, is designed for mobile devices and sports integrated LTE and 4K video rendering capabilities.

Qualcomm expects the Snapdragon 615 to start appearing in high-end smartphones and tablets in the fourth quarter.

No 64-bit ARM chip to date has an integrated LTE modem; Apple uses a separate LTE modem on its iPhone 5S. The advantage of an integrated LTE modem is that it saves space, is more power-efficient and helps reduce the size of a mobile device.
