The TabTimes web app for tablets is optimized for the iPad and for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
If you own one of these tablets and you visit TabTimes.com, you should be automatically redirected to the web app. If you prefer the desktop version of TabTimes, you will have the option of returning to our regular site, if you choose. If you have one of the tablets on our "grey list", which is described below, you may enter through t.tabtimes.com.
Please note that if you visit a story based on a link from our newsletter, another site or another app, you will not be redirected to the web app. However, you will see a banner at the top of the story page prompting you to go to our web app. This will take you to the app's home page (displayed above).
If I don't have an iPad or Galaxy Tab, can I still see the TabTimes web app?
You can try the web app on your tablet by visiting t.TabTimes.com. While we have verified compatibility with some specific devices, we weren't able to test it with all tablets.
As a general rule, Android devices with the fastest processors, Honeycomb and up OS, and screen resolutions closest to the iPad will provide the best experience. To date, we have verified tolerable levels of compatibility with these tablets:
- Motorola Xyboard
- Amazon Kindle Fire
- BlackBerry PlayBook
Over time, our goal is to make the TabTimes web app accessible to a greater number of devices. We'll update this list as we spend more time with more tablets.
In the meantime, we welcome your comments regarding compability; feel free to leave a comment below regarding your experience on your tablet.
