Unreal Engine is one of the most widely-used in the gaming industry, and the newest iteration, Unreal Engine 4, offers even more powerful tools for developers. Rodeo Games is the first independent developer of mobile games to announce that it will use the engine, an Epic Games press release states.

The game is "a new turn-based strategy game based on one of Games Workshop’s many properties, which is set for a release on mobile platforms in Q2 2015," according to the announcement. Games Workshop's properties include Warhammer, among many others, so the new Rodeo game could be any number of things.

“We’ve made it our mission to raise the bar on what players can expect to see in mobile visuals and gameplay," Rodeo Games co-founder Laurent Maguire said in the press release. “In short, we want to set a new standard, and working with Unreal Engine 4 we can achieve that more efficiently and with greater impact.”

2015 is a long way off, but I'll be watching out for more news from Rodeo.
