According to online fansite SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will sport a resolution of 1280 x 800, 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of storage.
The source adds that the tablet will run Android 4.2 — the latest version of Jelly Bean, and will come with the S-pen stylus, dual-facing cameras (1.3MP on the front, 5MP on the rear) and a micro SD card slot.
It is also believed that there will be two versions of the tablet, one with 3G and WiFi with the other being WiFi only.
Since the inception of its Galaxy Note range, Samsung has launched two 5-inch models (the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II) and the 10.1-inch model, which first appeared at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) last year.
This year's show takes place in Barcelona, Spain from 25-28 February.
