As the largest manufacturer of Android devices, Samsung wants to make its offering more distinct by highlighting apps specifically designed -or optimized- for its devices.
To that end, Samsung just relaunched its app store, previously called Samsung Apps, under the new Galaxy Apps name. It is still available at the same apps.samsung.com URL.
“The new app store features apps that will allow greater customization of mobile devices and will also function as a platform to offer various promotions and discounts”, says a blog post by the company.
The app store is structured in 3 categories: Best Picks (recommendations and promotions), Top (popularity rankings) and For Galaxy. This last section includes an Apps for Professionals sub-section.
