The Campbell, Calif.-based company updated its cloud-based Soonr Workplace service to include enhanced file locking, document scan capability, HD video streaming, full compatibility with Apple iWorks apps, and QR code support.
All iOS devices as well as Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry platforms are supported.
“Soonr continues to improve the mobile business experience on Apple devices with innovative features like Smart File Locking that automatically locks your Microsoft Office documents when changes are being made and subsequently unlocks the documents when they are closed,” Martin Frid-Nielsen, founder and CEO of Soonr said in a statement.
For example, the iOS version of the Soonr Workplace mobile app has been enhanced to enable rendering of the full iWorks suite, meaning users can fully display and work with iWorks Pages, Keynote and Numbers files on an iPad or iPhone.
Additionally, Soonr said its software now progressively downloads all iOS compatible video files, including HD formats at their full native resolution from the Soonr service to an iOS device. This allows business users to begin viewing video content without being required to wait for the entire file to download. Videos that have been “Favorited” are downloaded in full native resolution locally for offline viewing.
The Soonr Workplace app is available for download. A subscription to the service starts at $9.95 per month,
