DocScan HD: A feature-packed iPad scanner with various export options
DocScan HD can scan pages directly from the front or rear-facing iPad 2 camera or from existing photo albums. After the image has been selected, the user is guided to the editing suite, which allows users to crop the image, adjust the brightness and aspect ratio and even annotate on the picture.
The resulting image can be saved as a new or to an existing PDF document, or pushed directly into photo albums on the iPad. DocScan HD really comes into its own when it comes to exporting documents, and supports Facebook, Dropbox, Evernote and Google Docs output as well as iOS Air Printing.
The Pro edition ($2.49) is a step up, albeit not a very expensive one, but allows you to save more than six scanned documents, store three pages in one document, and export PDFs as zipped JPG files.
Summary: A must-have app for tracking expenses or capturing paper-bound ideas.
