For a limited time beginning November 20, customers who buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 from AT&T either online or in the store, can also choose either a Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket or Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone for free. The one hitch in the “free” deal is that the smartphones require the standard two-year service agreement with AT&T.

The new Galaxy Tab is designed to take advantage of AT&T’s high speed 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) network that is slated to expand into six new markets on Nov. 20: Charlotte, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, bringing the total to 15 markets throughout the U.S. AT&T said it plans to offer LTE service capable of reaching 70 million Americans by the end of this year.

AT&T claims to offer the only devices capable of 4G speeds utilizing both 4G LTE and HSPA+, for a consistently fast connection in and out of 4G LTE areas.

The ultra-thin Galaxy Tab weighs a mere 15.9 ounces and sports an 8.9-inch screen with a 1200×800 pixel resolution. Running Android 3.2 (Honeycomb), the Tab includes a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and tabbed browsing with support for both HTML5 and Adobe Flash Player.

The Tab comes with 1GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage expandable up to 32 GB.
