This respectable Android tablet is half the price of Amazon’s Kindle Fire

The tablet in question is the snappily-named Maxwest TAB-7155DC aka. Ippo Y88, which features a decent 7-inch 1024 x 600 resolution display, a dual-core 1GHz Cortex A5 processor and the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Available in an assortment of colors, the tablet also packs 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, dual-facing cameras (640 x 480 resolution on front and back) and ports for micro-USB, mini-HDMI and micro SD. The tablet supports the Google Play Store.

And if those specs aren't enough to tempt buyers to open their wallets, this could seal the deal — the tablet costs just $65.

Engadget went hands-on with the device at the CTIA conference this week.
