Wakefield Research surveyed over 1,000 U.S. adults early last month in a study commissioned by Next Issue Media and the researcher found that 69% of tablet owners think that they are better informed that friends without a tablet.
When faced with the same question, just 47% of non-tablet owners felt the same way.
But with that finding came another – tablet owners are also more likely to lie when it comes to the news. Researchers concluded that 52% of tablet owners admitted to lying about knowing a news story to impress others, compared to 27% of non-tablet owners.
A lack of honesty aside however and it’s clear that tablet owners are at least using [...]

After a few hours of down-time, the problem was then mysteriously resolved, quite possibly on the invention by those based in Cupertino.
Nonetheless, Ardent kept receiving feedback from Instapaper users [...]
NASA confirmed that the iPads are only entertainment purposes at present and said that the tablets will join other Apple products on board, including a number of iPods and an iPhone.
The stuffed Angry Birds toy will accompany the next three crew members to leave for the International Space Station, and will be used to signal to the launching cosmonauts, and the NASA astronaut, that they have made it to space, when it starts to float.
Both the iPads and the stuffed Angry Birds toy will be sent in an un-manned re-supply vehicle to the ISS next month.
According to sources, NASA is still reviewing other tablet systems and plans to fly at least one more tablet to [...]
