British government clamps down on espionage…by banning iPads

Citing people close to the heart of the issue, The Mail on Sunday reports that numerous iPads were used last week in a presentation by Cabinet Office minister Francis Maude, only for these to be removed at the end of the meeting by security staff. It is believed that this is a precautionary move to guard against international spying, as The Telegraph adds that China, Pakistan, Russia and Iran all have Trojan viruses that can turn iPads into microphones and transmitters – thus increasing the likelihood of government secrets being found out.
