Do you remember back in January when we told you about a new tablet in the works from a few ex-Googlers, that looked like a Microsoft Surface, but ran a custom Android ROM meant for Windows-like productivity? Some of you said you ‘actually really like this,’ others bashed it, but you know what, the Jide Ultra Remix Surface tablet could be yours for as little as $39!
Here’s the deal, Jide has a Kickstarter campaign rolling for their Android 4.4 based ROM powered tablet. The campaign starts March 25th and has an entry pledge reward level of $39. No word on what exactly that reward will be, but every pledge is said to receive a new [...]
The Structure Sensor actually won't be available until the middle of next year, but the company is launching the product first for developers who order it via Kickstarter.
“We really wanted to get feedback from the world,” Occipital CEO Jeff Powers told AllThingsD. “We wanted to also be the first to do this."
Fully funded via KickStarter just a day after launching, Smart Cargo gives you a place to store your keys, stylus, sync cable, earbuds, and all the other iPad -related doodads that typically fill up your pocket, purse, or carry-on.
This clever storage bin integrates with a Smart Cover or Smart Case. It was created by Dotan Saguy, who also invented the Smarter Stand for iPad.
The bad news? It's not expected to ship until October. For $15 you can be an Early Bird backer which gets you the Smart Cargo and free shipping within the U.S. (Retail price is expected to be $30.)

The ability for a digital stylus to be used for conventional handwriting isn’t overly unique – Wacom previously launched a model which has a digital stylus at one end and a pen nib at the other, but the Klick Stylus is different in that the pen nib passes through the capacitive stylus tip when the user clicks the button at the top.
The Kickstarter project has raised just over $2,000 to date and will end on June 5. You can pledge your support to the [...]
The idea behind the Smarter Stand is to offer more flexibility than the two viewing angles Apple’s Smart Cover offers for propping up the iPad.
A Los Angeles entrepreneur and app developer launched the Smarter Stand on the community fundraising site Kickstarter hoping to raise $10,000 by August 13. But within 24 hours he’d already raised $10,000 and funding by individual contributors stands at $78,952 as of today.
In a promotional video Smarter Stand inventor Dotan Saguy said the idea came to him when he was trying to use his iPad in the kitchen propped up against a jar of jam. “I thought if I could just isolate some of the folds in the cover, [...]
