The Sunday Times writes that the tablet will come with books, films and music as well as apps for Tesco’s grocery and banking products, and Tesco’s own movie-streaming service Blinkbox.

Sources add that the tablet will likely be priced around £130 (approximately $204) in order to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Tesco has good reason for targeting Amazon and Apple, because both computing giants have had an adverse effect on Tesco’s profitable books and DVDs business in recent years.

Tesco is said to be the second largest retailer (behind Wal-Mart) in terms of profits and has over 6,000 stores worldwide, including in the United States (branded Fresh & Easy), China and Japan.
