With the new version teachers can access the WizIQ Virtual Classroom designed to let them connected with their students, wherever they are, through their tablet devices.
The company says WizIQ App is already being used by over 3 million registered students and nearly 250,000 teachers and trainers.
With the new version of WizIQ teachers can record live classes; text chat with students during a live class; connect with students using live audio and video communication; use Whiteboard tools built into WizIQ to write or draw anything and upload and share audio/video files from a content library or media player.
The app also lets teachers share content, such as presentations, reports, documents, PDFs, Excel spreadsheets, and multimedia files.
With WizIQ students can also use the microphone, webcam, and write on the whiteboard. The app also lets teachers see the attendee list during a live class and access attendance reports.
WizIQ says the app is designed to give teachers more flexibility so they no longer have to remain at home waiting for class to start or haul a laptop around in order to remain in touch with their students.
