With the Apple AirPods finally going on sale in the United States and around the World after countless delays, the wireless headphones seem to be in high demand.

Early orders of the AirPods saw delivery estimates as early as December 19, but with the AirPods available for purchase approaching 24 hours, the shipping estimation has quickly slipped to 6 weeks.

Shortly after going on sale, the AirPod shipping time fluctuated between 2 weeks to 4 weeks but seems to have no settled around 6 weeks. Unfortunately that means new orders won’t be seen this side of 2016.

The Apple AirPods are available for $159 but be prepared to wait for them to arrive. They instantly turn on and can connect to your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac. Audio automatically plays when you put them in your ears and stops when you remove them. The AirPods really are a good piece of kit and Apple have put a lot of thought into their functionality.

AirPods deliver up to 5 hours of listening time on one charge, and a 15-minute fast charge provides up to 3 hours of listening time. The accompanying charging case holds multiple additional charges for more than 24 hours of listening time.
