The Internet search giant is expected to take the wraps off the new Nexus 10 in the near future, but for now a purported image would seem to indicate that Google could follow others in launching an 8-inch tablet.
A posted (Britoid) on The Verge Forums spotted the image on Google’s revamped Android page for Android 4.4 KitKat, and the picture depicts an 8-inch or 9-inch tablet with very slim bezels and running the latest iteration of Android.
According to the search giant's own figures, Jelly Bean, the latest version of Android, powers 48.6% of all Android devices.
It's a big improvement from where Android was a year ago when most users weren't even on the latest version of the mobile OS. But fragmentation remains a big problem for developers who have to account for the different versions of Android when developing their apps.
And now developers and users have a new version of Android to look forward to as Google recently teased the arrival of KitKat or Android 4.4.
